The Honda Beat is a two-seat, mid-engine roadster that was produced by Honda from 1991 to 1996. It was designed to comply with Japan's Kei car regulations, which meant that it had to be less than 3.4 meters in length and have an engine no larger than 660cc.
The Beat was inspired by the Honda S800 sports car from the 1960s, and was designed by a team of engineers and designers who were passionate about creating a fun and affordable sports car for enthusiasts.
The Beat was powered by a 656cc three-cylinder engine that produced 63 horsepower and 44 lb-ft of torque, and was mated to a five-speed manual transmission. It was a light and nimble car, weighing just 1,675 pounds, and was capable of a top speed of 87 mph.
Despite its small size, the Beat was well-received by critics and enthusiasts alike, thanks to its agile handling and peppy engine. It was also relatively affordable, with a starting price of just under $10,000 in Japan.
Unfortunately, the Beat was never officially sold outside of Japan, which limited its popularity and availability in other markets. However, it remains a beloved classic among car enthusiasts, and is highly sought-after by collectors today.
