The Mark III was first introduced in the mid-1980s and quickly gained a reputation for its lightweight construction, excellent durability, and stylish looks.
The original SSR Mark III was a three-piece wheel, consisting of a forged aluminum center section and two outer rims made of spun aluminum. This construction method allowed for a wide range of customization options, including different finishes for the center section and outer rims, as well as various bolt patterns and offsets.
Over the years, the Mark III continued to evolve, with updated designs and construction methods. In the early 2000s, SSR introduced a one-piece version of the Mark III, which was made using a new manufacturing process that allowed for even greater strength and lighter weight. This version of the Mark III was a favorite among racers and performance enthusiasts, who appreciated its combination of strength and low weight.
