Opel Speedster / Vauxhall VX220 v2 Tshirt

$28.55 CAD

The Opel Speedster is a two-seat sports car that was produced by the German automaker Opel from 2000 to 2005. It was also sold under the Vauxhall brand in the United Kingdom and as the Saturn Sky in North America.

The Speedster was based on the Lotus Elise platform, as Opel had entered into a partnership with Lotus to co-develop the car.

The Speedster was known for its lightweight construction, with a curb weight of just 2,006 pounds. This was achieved through the extensive use of aluminum and composite materials. The car was powered by a variety of engines, including a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and a 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine. The latter was used in the higher-end Turbo model, which was capable of producing 197 horsepower.

The Speedster was well-received by critics and enthusiasts alike, and it won several awards during its production run. However, sales were slow due to the car's high price and limited practicality. Opel ultimately decided to discontinue the Speedster in 2005, after producing just over 7,000 units.
